Our Annual Shopping Trip with the neediest children in Fairfax County (assisted by their High School buddies from West Springfield HS) marks its 25th year. Read more about this year’s event.

How Kristi’s Christmas Helps the Children Throughout the Year

  • We provide school supplies, including backpacks….year round.
  • In the winter, we collect and distribute warm jackets, coats, mittens, gloves, hats, etc.
  • Sweat shirts and pants provided include small sizes for the little children who need a change at school.
  • Christmas gifts…the Toy Shop is open in December for School Personel to come and select a gift for the children who will not be getting anything. Each child is usually able to get a toy, book, and stuffed animal, depending on what has been collected and given.
  • In the summer, we have paid for children to attend camp.
  • During the school year, if there are needs for assisting a student on a Field Trip, we have helped.
  • We have paid for eyeglasses when a child has a very severe vision issue. We work with an eye doctor who will see the child at a discount rate to make sure the child has proper care.
  • Bikes have been donated and given to children.
  • Sleeping bags, several beds, etc. have been given so that children who have no bed can have some comfort.
  • Reading Books are always collected and distributed to schools so that the children who do not own a book can have their very own.

Kristi’s Christmas does NOT give money for medicines, electric bills, or rent.
